The secret's out! One of New Hampshire's favorite pizza trucks is headed for national television.

This is the kind of hometown success story you can't help but root for!

DeadProof Pizza Co., known for its creative gourmet pizzas and ever-changing menu, will make its debut on Food Network's "The Great Food Truck Race" on July 26 at 9 p.m., representing not only Derry but the entire Granite State.

DeadProof isn't your average pizza stop. While specialty pizzas are the star of the show, the menu rotates frequently and often features smash burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, fried pickles and other comfort food favorites. Their motto? "Dope Pies and Good Vibes".

The business has come a long way in just a few years. What started as a local pop-up on Elm Street in Manchester, eventually found a home in Derry, where the team breathed new life into the iconic former Clam Haven building.

Dante Marino, owner of DeadProof said in an interview with Derry News that, “If anyone was going to take over Clam Haven, I wanted it to be someone from Derry”.

“I’m just a kid from this town who loves it and now I get to give back to the community that raised me.”

Ahead of tonight's premiere, the team shared an emotional message on Facebook reflecting on the road that brought them here.

Marino admitted to social media that there were moments he nearly walked away after "burnt hands, 16-hour days, broken equipment, impossible weeks," and even losing the place they had begun to call home.

They took what he described as a leap of faith, deciding to keep serving pizza from an uninsulated clam shack through one of New England's harshest winters.

But he says it was the community that kept DeadProof going.

"This happened because of you," the post reads. "It's more than representing us, it's representing our story, our home."

Now, that story is headed to a national audience as DeadProof Pizza Co. flies the New Hampshire flag on one of Food Network's biggest competitions.

Sharon Curole, a DeadProof Pizza Co. fan, commented the social media post and said, "I always knew you would go as far as is possible. It’s more than food; it’s energy, love & a lot of grit."

Win or lose, DeadProof Pizza Co. has already accomplished something pretty incredible- bringing a slice of New Hampshire to millions of viewers across the country.
