The name James Murray may not fully ring a bell. You may be more familiar with his more often used nickname, Murr.

Impractical Jokers

Murr and his three best friends, Brian "Q" Quinn, Joe Gatto, and Sal Vulcano, are the stars of the insanely popular TruTV show, Impractical Jokers. If you haven't seen the show before, it centers around the four of them playing pranks on each other and essentially playing "truth or dare" without the truth part.

The show's basis is that all four guys take part in challenges that they have the option to try and complete or that they can back out of; however, if they're the loser for the day, then they have to complete a task that the other 3 guys set up for them that they cannot back out of, and they're generally all cringeworthy humiliating, but also hilarious for viewers to watch.

But did you know that Murr is successful on an entirely different plain?

The Stowaway

Murr is a best-selling author, with five published books to his credit (so far), including his latest book that just dropped a couple of weeks ago, The Stowaway. Earlier this week, Murr called into the show to talk not only about his new release, but also touched on the four other books he's put out since 2018, the children's series he has on the way, and how all the pranks pulled on Impractical Jokers actually helped him become a best-selling author!
