Downtown Portsmouth Continues To Explode By Getting A Fat Face
British based retailer Fat Face will be opening a location in the booming downtown Portsmouth area.
According to Seacoastonline.com, the clothing retailer just took possession of a location at 62 Congress Street. The area had been occupied by a candle shop for the previous 18 years. Fat Face will join two other area northern new England locations, and be the first in New Hampshire. Portland, Maine, and Newburyport, Massachusetts being the other two.
Real estate broker Bill Mouflouze made the announcement, as a part of a series of retail musical chairs in the downtown area. As mentioned in the article, Portsmouth Candle Co. owner Marion Yaun retired, sold the business condo for $825,000 to an investor and the investor is leasing to Fat Face. Renovations are already underway for the 1,700 square foot location, and that the officail opening will be later this spring.
On its website, Fat Face is noted as "the best British clothing line you've never heard of."
