A driver from Connecticut clocked going 127 mph on Route 95 Monday told State Police she didn't realize how fast she was going.

Police said LaToya Huff's 2017 Dodge Charger was spotted from State Police aircraft in the northbound lanes in Hampton Falls around 8:35 a.m. The trooper in the plane altered his counterparts on the ground, who were able to pull over the 36-year-old from Hartford, Connecticut.

When the trooper asked Huff why she was going so fast, she said she didn't realize her speed. Huff was charged with reckless operation and is due to appear in Hampton Circuit Court on April 21.

Huff faces a fine of $434 for exceeding the 65 mph posted speed limit by over 21 mph.

New Hampshire State Police said their Special Enforcement Unit is on duty during morning commutes and holidays to keep roads safe.
