Favorite Halloween Candy By Each New England State, Did Your Favorite Make it?
Survey Says!!!!
Every year, someone does an article on the most popular candy by State for Halloween. Well, it’s not a survey this year, it’s the sales results from CandyStore.com. Since they sell candy, raisins, fruit snacks, or toothbrushes which some people give out for Halloween treats were not included. Who gives out raisins?
Trick or treat will be very different this year, so make sure you check with your local town to find out about trick or treating rules in your area. It must be better than last year. With the pandemic lockdowns, I wound up eating all the candy I bought to give out by myself. I am thinking of bringing in some candy for Kira so I was curious what New Hampshire’s favorite candy was. Last year a survey said it was circus peanuts. Circus peanuts? Really? This year we were redeemed by buying a lot of M&Ms.
New Hampshire, M&M’s
Last year, a survey said Granite Staters like Circus Peanuts which I think taste like stale Styrofoam packing material and orange-flavored medicine. This year, according to sales, from CandyStore.com, the winner for New Hampshire is M&Ms which I wholeheartedly agree with.
Maine, Sour Patch Kids
My kids are obsessed with this candy. If you are in Maine, be prepared with a big bowl of Sour Patch Kids for the trick or treaters this year.
Massachusetts, Sour Patch Kids
Wow, Sour Patch Kids for the win this year. I had no idea this candy was so popular. The second-place candy for Massachusetts is the Butterfinger.
Vermont, Skittles
Vermont seems to love skittles. So does my dentist. Skittles were always guaranteed to remove one of my kids’ fillings requiring a visit to the dentist.
Well, those are the results according to candystore.com. What will you be eating for candy this Halloween?
