Fighting UFC In Boston ‘Dream Come True’ For Massachusetts Native
Randy Costa used to go to TD Garden for Celtics and Bruins games, but now he'll be the center of attention October 18th.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship makes a return to Boston this Friday, and one Taunton, Mass native will be center stage.
According to Boston.com, Randy Costa will face will face Las Vegas-based fighter Boston Salmon in a three-round bantamweight bout at TD Garden, and the 25 year-old can't believe it.
“This really is a dream come true," he said in the Boston.com article. “Never did I think that I’d be competing in the Garden. Going there with my friends and family to see the Bruins or the Celtics play, now all these people are going to be there to watch me compete.”
The 2012 graduate of Taunton High School lost his UFC debut, but says the defeat made him stronger for his second time around Friday, telling Boston.com, “I learned more about myself in that one fight than I learned in my entire martial arts career. "
