When you live in New Hampshire, there really is never an excuse to be bored in the summer. Sometimes, though, we just sort of blank out: it's like the writer's block version of having fun. Should that happen to you, here are five things you can do!

GO ON A WHALE WATCH IN THE SEACOAST

There are a number of options to choose from throughout the seacoast. Seeing a whale is why you go but bopping around the cool ocean on hot day is a great secondary benefit.

SEE A FISHERCATS GAME IN MANCHESTER

For less than the cost of parking in Boston, you can get four tickets and food to a Fishercats game! My wife and I had our first date here, so I'm partial to this one.

WATCH A PLAY AT PRESCOTT PARK IN PORTSMOUTH

The Prescott Park Arts Festival lineup is always amazing. I am already psyched to bring my three year old to see The Little Mermaid this summer at lovely Prescott Park.

VISIT STORYLAND IN GLEN

Last summer marked the first time I'd been since I was a little kid and boy was it ever fun. So convinced were we about wanting to come back that we're now season ticket holders!

ENJOY A DRIVE-IN MOVIE AT WEIRS BEACH

Why should you have to go inside on a beautiful night? Sitting out in the open air and enjoying a movie is one of those experiences everyone should have.

Next time you feel stuck about what to do, one of these options will be sure to be a perfect fit!
