I feel like I say this all the time but how lucky are we to live in New Hampshire? Think about it. We live in a place that people travel from all over the country and even the world to come see. They want to climb our mountains, swim in our lakes and oceans and admire our state's natural beauty as they say to themselves, "I wish I lived in a place this beautiful!" And it's all in our backyard.

One of the most beautiful spots our state has to off is Flume Gorge in Lincoln. According to NHStateParks.com, The Flume is a natural gorge that extends 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty. It is a one way, two mile loop that includes some uphill walking and lots of stairs.

As you can imagine, it takes a lot of man power to preserve this place. Most of the boardwalks that you see come out each Fall and are reinstalled in the Spring.

The crew has been working diligently and Flume Gorge will be ready to open for the public Friday May, 14th!

If you want to visit Flume Gorge on a weekend, these next few weekends before Memorial Day will be the time to do it! Once tourist season kicks up, it is not uncommon for tickets to visit Flume Gorge to sell out. Make sure you buy your tickets in advance, they have no problem turning you away if they are sold out that day! Book your reservation here.
