Four Dead In Maine Murder/Suicide
(Oakland, Maine) - Maine State Police say 4 people have died of gunshot wounds in the home they shared in Oakland. The gunman is among the dead.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the shooting erupted Wednesday night at 8 on Belgrade Road in Oakland.
He says two women and man were shot to death inside the home, where they lived with the gunman. The shooter killed himself outside and his body was found in the driveway.
McCausland says a 4-year-old girl was found unharmed inside the house. She is the daughter of two of the victims and is now with other relatives.
He identified the three victims as Amanda Bragg, 30; Michael Muzerolle, 29; and Amy Derosby, 28. The gunman was identified as Herman Derico, 42.
Investigators are still trying to determine a motive.
