You may have seen a series of social media accounts, from locally loved bands to your friends who live near Plum Island, post about Beach Jam last summer.

And if you did not go, you probably felt like you missed out on this awesome, free, community-built series of events. I mean, look at the turnout on Plum Island, Newbury, Massachusetts.

What is Beach Jam on Plum Island, Massachusetts

Beach Jam started during the peak of COVID-19. There was a lack of community. People missed getting together, their friends, their neighbors...and of course, live music.

Because there were six-foot restrictions, along with other things to stop people from getting together, local homeowners and musicians (Alex Anthony Band) found a way to bring live music and people back together on Plum Island.

The vision: by word of mouth, the generosity of the community, tips for the bands, and a positive environment, live and free music was held every Thursday evening on Plum Island.

And year after year, Beach Jam Thursday's got bigger and better.

It is SUPER IMPORTANT to remember the WHY about this event...why it was created in the first place - to bring people together.

This is not a place to get drunk and throw beer cans onto the beautiful sand below your feet. It is a place to listen to amazing music, surrounded by your people.
