Fosters.com is relating all the details on the on Rochester’s FREE Fire Safety parade and festival this Sunday.  The parade will feature several local businesses, fire departments, and public safety agencies.  Among the groups participating will be the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team, Epping Fire, Farmington Fire, Rochester Main Street along with many others.

Who loves a firetruck?  According to fosters.com, They will be in the parade in full force.  But don’t come out just to see the firetrucks, learn all you can while having fun.  Demonstrations will be given on Stop, Drop and Roll, fire extinguisher and talks on smoke detectors.  Personally, I have never had to use a fire extinguisher and would like to learn how before an emergency strikes.

Educational for all and fun for the kids, plus did I mention FREE.   Fosters.com is outlining that children will have the opportunity to participate in a Junior Firefighter Certification Course get a certificate signed by Chief Klose.  Exposing children to careers at a young age can be beneficial in creating a lifelong passion.   Grant Street will be closed from 7 am to 2 pm this Sunday for the festivities.
