Gas Prices Take A Huge Jump In The Wake Of Hurricane Harvey
(Dover, NH) - The destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey shut down several refineries in the Gulf Coast area, and gas prices are a lot higher this week than last.
The latest survey by gasbuddy shows that the average price for a gallon of regular in New Hampshire jumped 38 cents since last Tuesday.
The average price this morning in NH is $2.68 a gallon. In Massachusetts and Maine, it's $2.72 and in Vermont, motorists are paying an average of $2.73 a gallon.
The highest average prices in the nation today are in California at $3.13 a gallon.
In Arizona, prices are the lowest, averaging $2.35 a gallon.
