It's hard to believe, but this Rye, NH business has made eating ice cream an even happier experience than it already is.  Lago's Ice Cream in Rye is offering gender reveals for expecting parents and grandparents.

Lago's has been in business for decades on the Seacoast.  I don't think you can even call yourself a seacoast resident if you've never been.  They have all homemade ice cream and some really clever flavors.

Recently, I found on their Facebook page that people have been going to Lago's for Gender reveals.  How fun is that!

You can see this pair of expecting parents find out that they are having a boy here.

This happy pair of grandparents find out that they are having a girl even though the grandmother thought it would be a boy.  Find out their reaction here.

They find out by what color the inside of the ice cream creation is.  If there is blue ice cream or blueberries, they are having a boy and of course pink is used for a girl.

NH's Best Ice Cream Just Got Better and Here's Why

We have loved Lago's for so many reasons, but this is the best one yet.

Having said that, their ice cream flavors are off the hook.  Check out some of my favorites:

  • Funky Panda:  Oreo ice cream with toasted coconut and caramel swirl
  • Kahlua Fudge Brownie.  Yes, please, yes.
  • Muddy Sneakers:  White Chocolate ice cream (!!!) with chocolate chunks and caramel swirl.

It's all homemade people Run, don't walk to Lago's Ice Cream in Rye whether you are pregnant or not.

  • 71 Lafayette Road, Rye, New Hampshire
  • Open 7 days a week, 1pm - 9pm

Oh, did I mention that Lago's wins NH's Best Ice Cream over and over and over again over the years?  True statement.

Shout out, by the way, to whoever does the social media for Lago's.  You do a really great job.  I love the "behind the scenes" reel of making ice cream.  The cravings to try some are real.
