Get ready shoppers, a new Aldi is opening this spring.

Construction is heating up on the new store in the location which was last a Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse, according to seacoastonline.com. The site, which has been vacant since 2016, is getting a much-needed breath of fresh air with the grocery store Aldi.

The store will be the ninth Aldi’s in New Hampshire, the news article stated, as the Aldi store in Dover opened last year.

So, what makes Aldi different from other grocery stores?

Bruce Persohn, a divisional vice president of Aldi, told seacoastonline.com, “We make shopping smart, fast and easy for people. A typical store has 12,000 square feet of retail space and is much easier to navigate than a big box store. Our stores have only four or five aisles, providing a streamlined, efficient and simple shopping experience.”

One other aspect that makes Aldi stand out from its competitors are their store brands.

Persohn said in the article that they are a “private-label pioneer” with more than 90% of their foods being Aldi-exclusive brands.

Aldi is one of my favorite grocery stores. From my personal experience, it's the cheapest place to buy food. Only drawback they don't sell everything, so you have to go to multiple stores.
