Make plans now for one of the most fun and well-attended events on the North Shore!

Thousands of people come out for a week of fun, music, food, games, and community events to Newburyport's Yankee Homecoming, now in it's 66th year.  In fact, this is the second oldest Homecoming Festival in America.

This week of festivities is truly hometown America at its best.  There is something for everyone.

Waterfront Morning Workout Series includes Pilates, yoga, stroller bootcamp, karate, and HIIT classes.

A High School Band Competition is this Saturday, July 30, starting at 6pm at Waterfront Stage.

41 years and still going strong is the Art on Barltett Mall, with over 60 artists from New England showing their artwork at the corner of High Street and Pond Street.  Look for the art show on this Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31 from 10am to 4pm both days.

Nightly concerts are 7:30 - 9pm, with the last night's music on August 6 ending at 9:15pm, followed by Yankee Homecoming Fireworks.

Microbrew lovers will love the Brewfest this  Saturday, July 30 from 5-9pm at Cashman Park.  Try over 20 micro brews, enjoy the live music of Steelfingers, and feast on food trucks.  This is a fundraiser for Yankee Homecoming.  Tickets for this 21+ event are $45 and available HERE.

Olde Fashioned Sunday is this Sunday, July 31 to help make a memorable kick-off weekend for Yankee Homecoming. The day features fun, old family games like a three-legged race, sack races, water balloon toss, hula hoops, midway games, and of course, the cornhole tournament for beginners.

If cornhole is your thing, you may want to wait for the competitive tournament for the diehard cornholers on August 6.

There's even a road rally for those who are very adventurous.

Did you know Newburyport's Yankee Homecoming has its own flag?  It does, and you will see them on homes and businesses starting now through the homecoming festival.

And to round out the week, there's a parade at 12 noon on Sunday, August 7, complete with floats, classic cars, and marching bands.
