There are so many of our favorite restaurants closing here on the Seacoast, but this one is being replaced by a Chef who has been in the game for a long time and knows what he's doing.  We're going to be very happy.

Chuck Rolecek, owner of CR's in Hampton, is retiring and according to Foster's Daily Democrat, MT's Dining Group is coming in with a new burger and steak place.  If I didn't know Chef Buckley, (Chef/Owner of the dining group) I might be a little worried about that, but I do know him and I am excited.

CR's was the place to go for celebrations for me and my family for quite some time now.  I have family who live in Massachusetts and our meeting place was CR's, so I will absolutely miss the place.  The staff, the menu (and the martinis) were amazing. It was a place where you could dress up a little bit and feel a bit fancy-pants.

CR's Restaurant in Hampton, NH Being Replaced With Buckley's Burgers and Steaks

Chef Michael Buckley's food is wicked good.  I am a Nashua girl, so I'm not sure if "Michael Timothy's" on Main Street in Nashua was his first restaurant or not, but it was the first one that I went to that he owned.  At the time, there was no Surf, or Buckley's Steaks or Lost Cowboy, it was just a great restaurant with an amazing menu.

Chef Buckley's restaurants have grown exponentially.  He recently purchased a few spaces in Portsmouth, including The Rosa.

I wonder if Chef would consider making the Umami Veggie sushi that I always order at Surf at the new burger place in Hampton?  It might not be a fit, but hey - don't ask, don't get.
