Imagine pulling out of your driveway for work in the morning, only to get a flat tire caused by hundreds of nails sticking POINT UP in the middle of the road?

This is not a nightmare, but the reality for many in Falmouth, Massachusetts.

According to a NY Post article, someone purposefully left about 500 nails POINT UP on numerous roads in the Cape Cod town.

The biggest question is, why would someone do this? And who? (The police are currently investigating)

Many locals have suggested the "reason" for doing such a heinous crime. One suggested it was a local tire salesman. Another suggested that it was a group of kids being punks...

But I think it could be something else.

The largest group of nails, based on the images and videos that I have seen, is lined up where the road had been patched.

Perhaps, and this is just a theory, it was someone frustrated over the lack of road upkeep/potholes...

That would not explain why there were also nails in individuals' driveways...so perhaps that theory is a dead end.

At anyrate, this could have caused a tire blowout, followed by a terrible accident. Luckily, it was caught before it got to that point.
