The Only Ice Hotel in North America is Only 2 Hours From Maine: You Must See this Freezing Overnight Experience
We have all seen epic ice experiences like the Ice Castles in New Hampshire...but you have likely never seen an ice hotel.
And that's because this is the only one ice hotel in all of North America... and it's only 2 hours from Maine.
Hotel De Glace:
"The Ice Hotel" is exactly what the name is - made of ice.
And that means the room, the bed, the bars, the glasses...check out how cool staying here would be.
The pressing questions are all outlined on the hotel's website, but I have outlined the important ones below don't worry:
Where do you sleep? On a block of ice. I was not kidding when I said everything was ice. There is a wooden bed frame and mattress on top; however, you still need to sleep in a -25-degree sleeping bag.
What about the bathroom? Have no fear. There is a different hotel with a heated bathroom and direct access from the Hotel De Glace.
What is the temperature in this "Hotel of Ice." Cold. But not THAT cold. The average temp of the hotel is about 25 degrees...even if it is colder than that outside.
Let's have another peek at this epic hotel:
This ice hotel, as of 3/18/25, has a suite rate starting at $449. That is certainly pricey for a regular hotel...but this is FAR from that.
The experience pays for it right away; however, to sweeten the deal there is a spa, playground, waterpark, ice bar, ice sculptures, and so much more at the Hotel De Glace.
Located at 2280 Bd Valcartier, Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, QC G0A 4S0, Canada, the Hotel of Ice is only 2 hours from the Maine border.
It is only 5 hours from Manchester...and only 6 from Boston. It is definitely a weekend commitment, but it is the ONLY ice hotel in North America - so it's pretty cool that it is so close.
