Okay Maine shoppers, get ready, because Aldi is now officially opening it’s very first location and we have the details, according to WGME.

The new spot has taken over the previous Big Lots space in Portland Pine Tree Shopping Center on Brighton Avenue. This promises to bring the chains affordable options, fresh produce, and grocery must-have for Maine, for the first time.

When is Aldi Opening in Maine?

The new story will welcome customers on Thursday March 26. Hours of operation according to the article, are daily from 9:00am-8:00pm.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will make Maine the 40th state in the United States where Aldi operates, joining 2,500 stores nationwide.

The arrival of this new store in Maine comes as part of this monumental expansion plan that the company announced last year.

They’d like to add 800 new stores across the U.S. with a $9 billion investment, as per the report.

And get this, as part of their grand opening, Aldi is going to be donating $10,000 to the Good Shepard Food Bank, to help support hunger throughout the state of Maine.

Maine shoppers will find affordability, budget-friendly grocery options, you know, everything that Aldi is known for. All without breaking the bank.
