TikTok Star Shows Off Scarborough’s Revamped Ice Cream Gem

Someone on TikTok paid a visit to The Maine Scoop Co. in Scarbrouguh, Maine, to check out their ice cream flights.

For six decades, Bailey's Ice Cream on Pine Point Road in Scarborough served ice cream from a classic Maine ice cream stand. Menu boards were on the building, and you would place your order at the window.

It was owned and operated by the Bailey Family, of course, but in 2025, the decision was made to lease the ice cream stand to a new operator.

Beginning in the 2025 season, Bayley's Ice Cream state got a facelift with the new lessor, The Maine Scoop Co., which also operates a store in Freeport. The building's yellow coat of paint was changed to lime green and is now much more colorful than it used to be.

One of the things that The Maine Scoop Co. has on its unique ice cream menu is a flight. Yes, it's pretty much similar to a flight of beer you might have at a restaurant, where you have four to five small glasses of different flavors of beer to try. One of them you might really enjoy and decide to order a tall, cold one.

TikTok Influencer Visits Maine Scoop Co.

A TikTok influencer and her mom made a stop at Maine Scoop Co. to try one of those flights. They each got to choose six different flavors each of their flights, allowing them to sample a total of 12 flavors.

Not gonna lie. That looks really good!

If you want to sample a flight of ice cream at the new  Maine Scoop Co., take a trip to 161 Pine Point Road in Scarborough and pick your own flight. But hurry! The ice cream season is quickly coming to a close.
