12 Maine Fall Festivals for the Ultimate Autumn Experience
Autumn in Maine is a picture-perfect postcard straight from a Hallmark movie.
You could probably make that argument about all the seasons in the state, sure, but there's something about the red-and-gold leaves, the pumpkins, corn mazes, apple picking, haunted attractions, and fall festivals that truly make it stand out.
And that last one, the fall festivals, really brings the season to life by pulling togeter so many classic Maine fall experiences, from pumpkins and apples to live music, food, family activities, foliage, and plenty of festive fun. We've rounded up 12 of them you'll want to check out this season.
Fall Festivals in Maine for 2026
When I think about fall festivals in Maine, one that immediately comes to mind is the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest and Regatta.
Name me a more iconic pumpkin boat race than the one in Damariscotta. Right?
This festival is so quintessential fall that it's even the basis for a new Hallmark movie called "Pumpkin Regatta Romance."
Who knows? Maybe it's the location for your next romantic moment?
Another that stands out to me is the Hurricane Meadows Fall Festival in Falmouth, which is very geared toward kids. It has a 5-acre corn maze with a Hearts of Pine design, massive jumping pillows, and even a potato cannon, along with a variety of other kid-friendly activities.
Your kids will likely be tired out by the time you finish everything. That, and asking when they can go back again.
But honestly, those are just samples of Maine's festivals. Let's dive in and take a look at what the state has waiting for you this fall.

Want to try and hit up every festival this season? That would be one epic road trip.
If anything, it's fantastic that there's such diversity when it comes to each event and what they offer. There's plenty of seasonal fun to be found whether you're taking the whole family, going on a date, or just ridin' solo.
