Jay Leno Coming to The Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Jay Leno, comedian and host of The Tonight Show from 1992 to 2014, is bringing his stand-up tour back to The Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, for one night only.
What's Jay been doing since he left TheTonight Show for the second time? Well besides touring, he created Jay Leno's Garage, where he gives reviews of cars and motorbikes. He also hosted two seasons of You Bet Your Life until the recent writer's strike canceled the show.
During an appearance on The Adam Carolla Show, Jay confirmed that he was making $30 million hosting The Tonight Show, and when NBC told him they had to cut half the staff, he took a pay cut of $15 million to keep the staff. For his entire run on The Tonight Show, he never touched the money he received for it, preferring to make his living by touring the country doing stand-up.
He's also popped up a couple of times on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show, once as "The Angry Guy" that Fallon claimed he saw on the street.
In November of 2022, Jay suffered serious burns when his vintage car went up in flames while he was working on it. He received burns on his hands and chest, and third-degree burns to his face.
Now's your chance to see him live at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on May 10 at 8 p.m. The show is one night only, so you'll want to grab your tickets now at themusichall.org.
