Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, folks—a holiday where you spend an inordinate amount of money and effort trying to make sure the love of your life truly knows how much you appreciate them.
Easily the best part of the holiday is enjoying a lovely meal with that important person. There’s nothing like a solid dinner, perhaps a bottle of the good stuff, and some romantic ambiance to truly hit a home run for the occasion.

Fortunately for us Mainers, we have a wealth of wonderful options to choose from when it comes to the perfect romantic meal. Whether it’s a delicious steak in a contemporary restaurant, a seafood feast right on the coast, or a farm-to-table meal literally on a farm, there are so many great spots ready to take care of you and the most important person in your life.
With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to take a look at places that Mainers absolutely love—especially the ones they enjoy with their significant others. ’Tis the season for love, right?
So, we put out the call for the joints Mainers say are the most romantic—those restaurants that help shape a community, are perfect for a date night, and keep our stomachs full.
