LoveFood has named Saeng Thai House as Maine's top place for Thai food, and one of the best places in the nation. Saeng Thai House has been a constant along Congress Street, even as many of the restaurants around it have closed or changed in the many years the longtime eatery has been open.

The quaint restaurant may be small, but its food packs a punch. LoveFood points to more than just the food as a reason Saeng Thai House is Maine's best for Thai food. The restaurant's warm hospitality and environment were key factors. It feels like you're eating in someone's house.

But the food ain't bad, either. Saeng Thai House prides itself on making things from scratch, including their garlic chicken, which has long been a crowd favorite.
