You too can have your name on the Jumbotron at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.  It's easier than you think.

Have you ever been to the TD Garden in Boston and you see someone's name and face up on the Jumbotron?  Maybe they are celebrating a birthday or an anniversary.  I always thought that whoever that person was had some sort of connection with the Garden, like, their Dad's friend from high school is now in the Marketing department or something, but that really isn't the case.  All it takes is filling out a form and making a donation.

It's a little different for each team that plays there, the Bruins and the Celtics.

For the Celtics, just fill out a form and pay either $150 or $250 depending on what you want, the full screen or not.  The money you give will be donated to the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation whose mission is to provide vital services and support to New England children.

For the Bruins, fill out the form and make a donation of only $200 to the Boston Bruins Foundation that donates money received to non-profit organizations throughout New England.  Since its inception in 2003, it has raised over $67 million dollars.  That's a lot of birthday messages.

That would be a wonderful thing to do for someone who is a huge Celtics/Bruins fan.  Not only are they going to be in the Garden to cheer on their favorite team, but they will see their name in lights, literally.

It's really fun to see how much of a fool we become when we know that there's a chance our faces will end up on the Jumbotron.

Has it ever happened to you?
