Littleton, NH Has Been Featured on Chronicle
When you think of Littleton, but you haven't been there in a while, don't assume that it's the same town, because it's not. It's currently "having a moment."
HGTV has made a list of the towns that they describe as "hidden gems" that have "quaint shops and restaurants," among other things like interesting history, fun and natural beauty.
The town of Littleton has a lot to offer like:
- Chutters, home of the World's Longest Candy Counter with 112 feet of sugary treats!
- Lahout's is America's Oldes Ski Shop
- Thayer's Inn that offers elegant, historic lodgings.
This mini-movie is worth a watch about Lahout's and it's history. Wonderful story about the history of the town and the people in it.
Littleton wasn't always the way it is today. I grew up here in New Hampshire and when I made the occasional visit to Littleton, it was literally just a drive through. It was one of those many towns in New Hampshire that felt like home, but it was not a place where you would want to visit for any particular reason, unless it was for family or ski.
Today, however, there is such a great vibe about the town and there are wonderful things to do. Time to make your reservations for a long weekend stay in Littleton.
