Can you feel it? Do you hear the birds chirping? Do you see the snow melting?

Dare I say, spring is here? Sure, New England is bound to get dumped on with more snow again because Mother Nature loves to mess around, but ignore that for a minute. Just ignore it.

Instead, let's get excited for a fresh new season and all the possible places we can visit to enjoy the ultimate reward after months of winter.

Most Beautiful Places to Visit in Spring 2025

The first exciting place to visit is honestly just outside of the house.

You've been cooped up so long looking out the window at muddy snowbanks and dreary gray skies, that once the temps start hitting above 32 and into the 40s, it's time to break out the shorts and short-sleeve shirts like only New Englanders would.

And while you can probably list off places you want to go this spring that would be perfect for an Instagram photo, Reader's Digest has gone ahead and named two New England places as the most beautiful to visit in spring 2025.

Any guesses?

Acadia National Park, which has been named one of the most beautiful natural wonders, did not make the list.

York, Maine, which has been named one of the most beautiful towns in the nation, did not make the list.

The majestic White Mountains of New Hampshire, which was named the most beautiful place in the Granite State, did not make the list.

People Magazine named a Durham, New Hampshire, restaurant as the most beautiful in the state, which also did not make the list.

Regardless, those are just a few places you should add to your beautiful bucket list anyway.

The Berkshires in Massachusetts

Reader's Digest named The Berkshires in Massachusetts as one of its top 15 breathtaking destinations for spring.

The publication names seeing Edith Wharton's summer home, the animals at Hancock Shaker Village and hiking the Appalachian as its reasons.

There's also the Berkshire Botanical Garden in Stockbridge. Their website states they have 24 acres of colorful flowers and plants to take in.

Or what about hiking Monument Mountain, Bash Bish Falls, and Mount Greylock? The budding areas are gorgeous in the spring.

And of course, the historic towns of Lenox, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington once again bustle to life if you're not looking to just be in nature.

Newport, Rhode Island

The second spot Reader's Digest named as the most beautiful to visit in spring is Newport, Rhode Island.

This would certainly be a weekend road trip if you're from the likes of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, but a fun one at that.

You can check out the Newport Cliff Walk, which, according to Discover Newport Rhode Island, is a 3.5-mile panoramic walk with gorgeous views of the water and towering mansions.

Speaking of mansions, you've got the stunning Marble House and The Breakers, which are even more incredible when their gardens are blooming with color.
