Kids In New Hampshire Can Help Kids In Puerto Rico This Christmas
We always seem to hear about kids bullying other kids. And seldom hear about kids reaching out to do random acts of kindness for those less fortunate than themselves. So when I run across a story like this, I'm compelled to share it with you.
As a dad to two teenage boys, this is the sort of thing I strive to instill in them.
You may remember this video that went viral back in September. Parents of an 8-year-old kid gave him to a NY Giants game, and he was so happy he broke down in tears.
He was so grateful for the tickets, he told his mom he wanted to donate all of his Christmas gifts this year to kids in Puerto Rico because he was worried they might not get anything after the hurricane that ripped through there this year. But she told him to think even bigger…and they ended up holding a toy drive instead.
They set up a makeshift donation center on their front lawn last week. Then posted this video asking people to donate toys...
The response was even bigger than they expected. People in their area dropped off hundreds of toys. And people online got in on it too. One guy said he had a whole trailer full of toys people in his community donated.
Last we heard, the count was up over a thousand, and they're still getting more. If you want to donate or help out click HERE.
