Not to be SUPER dramatic, but I have been waiting for this moment for what feels like an eternity. September marks my fourth year on the morning show on 97.5 WOKQ! (WOW! Time flies when you are flapping your gums) But for three out of those four years I have had an hour commute (50 miles) each way. My alarm would go off at 3:50 am every day and I would make the haul (or "schlep" as my people call it) from Beverly, Massachusetts to Dover, New Hampshire come hell or high water. I made that drive in the sleet, snow, ice, rain, because the morning show must go on! I'm the  one who has to tell you that the roads are very bad and you probably should stay home. The irony is not lost on me!

This weekend my husband Steven and I moved to Portsmouth and my commute has decreased from 57 minutes to a delightful 15 minutes and I could not be more ecstatic. My husband was given the okay to work for his Boston-based architecture firm from home. We are thrilled to start building a life here in the Granite State. The move in the sweltering heat was a treat and I'm sure we smelt terrible at the end of the day but WE DID IT.

The past few years have been difficult for Steven and I. He was in a traumatic accident that kept him out of work for 9 months. We have also lost family members and let's not forget about the global pandemic. Life hasn't been going easy on us. But last night, I looked out my window from my new apartment at the gorgeous sunset and I couldn't help but be grateful for all of my blessings.
