Ava Doris was a 16-year-old at Gilford High School. She passed away tragically this past March after losing control of her vehicle during a snowstorm. The news broke the hearts of everyone who knew Ava. Her lacrosse team, co-workers at Gilford House of Pizza and of course her family have been trying to cope with losing the light that was Ava.

Ava knew what a huge Lady A fan her mom was, so she bought her mom, Jen, tickets to see them perform at the Bank of NH Pavilion. Her mom was going to try to enjoy the concert as best she could and go with a friend. But of course, the pain of missing her daughter was looming over her.

It turned out to be an incredible and emotional night for Jen and her friend. They got backstage to meet Lady A and share the story of Ava with the band.

When Lady A took the stage they dedicated their song "American Honey" to Ava and her memory.

Gives me chills. The Gilford community continues to amaze me on how they have come together for the Doris family through this unbearable time. It's nights like these that help the memory of this beautiful and hard working girl live on.
