The World’s Largest Arcade Is in New Hampshire With Over 600 Games of Fun
If you think arcades are a thing of the past, Laconia, New Hampshire, is here to prove you very, very wrong.
Not only is Laconia home to Weirs Beach, but it also holds a much louder and busier claim to fame: the largest arcade in the world!
No big deal.
What's Inside Funspot in Laconia, New Hampshire?
According to Guinness World Records, Funspot is “three floors” and will make you ask yourself, “Where do I even start?” as soon as you walk through their front doors.
Funspot's website lists that it has over 600 games, from classics to new ones.
The classic arcade museum has more than 250 working machines from the early 1970s through the late ’80s (including the originals like Pong and Computer Space.)
I dare you to try and impress your kids… or let them humble you real quick.
How Long Has Funspot in Laconia, New Hampshire, Been Around?
Funspot's website notes that it was founded in 1952 by Bob Lawton and was built on the idea of good, old-fashioned family entertainment. Somehow, it’s only gotten better (and bigger) with time.
Beyond the arcade floors, you’ll find “a 20-lane bowling alley, indoor mini golf, a restaurant, and even a tavern,” the website states.
This isn’t just a place you visit, it’s a place you completely lose track of time in.
One minute you’re casually playing a game, the next you’re locked in a full-blown battle for tickets and wondering how it got so late.

I personally love that Funspot still brings people together, whether it’s families or friends, for real, quality time. In a world where we’re constantly glued to our phones, Funspot allows you the chance to unplug, laugh, and actually enjoy each other’s company.
If you live around Laconia or maybe you’re planning your next getaway, bring your quarters and your A-game because you’re definitely going to need both!
