Lauren Alaina has moving her tour dates around as a result of her participation in the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.

It was revealed last week that the country star will be one of the contestants on the new season of the popular dance competition show, which would have directly interfered with Alaina's plans to tour the That Girl Was Me Tour run in fall 2019. Her tour will now happen in early 2020.

Country Stars Who Went Dancing With the Stars, Worst to Best:

The trek — which marks Alaina's first time headlining a tour — will now start with back-to-back dates in Nashville on Jan. 15 and 16, 2020, keeping her on the road the first two months of the year. The tour was originally scheduled to start on Sept. 14 at the Blue Note in Columbia, Mo., with shows continuing through the end of October. Alaina will visit all the markets she was originally scheduled to visit, including Columbia, New York, Boston and Atlanta. She has since added a date in Rosemont, Ill. on Jan. 24.

"Slower" singer Filmore will stay on as an opening act.

Alaina is set to take part in Season 28 of Dancing With the Stars, following in the footsteps of her country music peers Sara Evans, Kellie Pickler, Billy Ray Cyrus and Jana Kramer, who've also competed on the show. The "Road Less Traveled" singer was convinced to be a contestant by Dancing With the Stars Season 27 winner and radio host Bobby Bones, revealing during an interview with 107.1 The Bull that she has "no idea" who her partner is.

"The poor guy's going to have his work cut out for him," Alaina jokes. "I'll be fun, but I think I might be the worst dancer."

Additional dates for the That Girl Was Me Tour will be announced in the coming weeks. Dancing With the Stars Season 28 will air on ABC this fall.
