Love Birds Get Engaged at WOKQ Sessions with Matt Stell

Lisa and Steve from Madison, New Hampshire, have a love story that has stood the test of time. Their story is not one without hardships but they have stood by each other through it all.

We know Steve and Lisa quite well. They are loyal WOKQ listeners who are always down to chime in on our topics of the morning. Sometimes we even hear from their precious four-year-old Collin on a feel good Fri-yay!

Steve reached out to us and asked if there was anything the station could do to make his proposal to Lisa special.

Knowing what I know about Steve and Lisa, I thought the song "Prayed for You" described their love perfectly. And wouldn't you know Matt Stell was scheduled to come to the station to perform an intimate set for a group of listeners! If you didn't know, we call this "WOKQ Sessions".

We invited Steve and Lisa to Sessions, got Matt Stell in on the surprise, and then this happened:

SHE SAID "YES!!" And then Matt Stell performed "Prayed for You" in honor of the happy couple.
