Macy’s Closing Dozens of Stores, Thousands to Lose Jobs
Macy's has announced they will be shutting down dozens of stores, which means thousands of workers will soon be out of a job.
Macy's, the largest department store chain in the country will soon close 40 of their stores and cut up to 4,800 jobs.
The good news for the Granite State is there are no New Hampshire stores on the chopping block. However, two Massachusetts stores will be shutting their doors.
Back in September, the company told the Associated Press they close a few under performing stores every year. Over the last five years, 52 Macy's locations have closed.
