Having graduation ceremonies IRL (in real life) is a major thing we were missing during the pandemic. My heart goes out to the class of 2020 and anyone who missed out that special experience. Nothing beats sitting in a football stadium on a scorching hot day surrounded by your fellow classmates as you wait for your name to be called. Then you proudly march up to the stage and redeem that piece of paper that is so rightfully yours. Graduations through a computer screen simply aren't the same. At any rate, we're moving onward and upward and are thrilled to see that in-person graduation ceremonies are back.

According to WCVB, Emily Booth, received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts over the weekend. She worked long and hard for this degree and the news site states she completed clinicals at Beverly Hospital, Holy Family Hospital, Boston Medical Center and Massachusetts General. All while being an active member of Endicott's dance team!

Before Endicott's president gave Emily her diploma, the emcee revealed that her brother who is a marine was there to do the honors! Emily hasn’t seen her brother in a year due to Covid-19 restrictions. When she saw her brother, U.S. Marine Private First Class Ryan Booth, walk out on stage she was completely shocked and overcome with emotion! She immediately went in for the biggest hug! It’s so darn sweet. Check out the video here, but be warned you might feel like you are chopping onions while you watch it.
