You Won’t Be Surprised to Learn New Hampshire’s Favorite Grocery Store

There are some places that just make New Hampshire what it is. We wouldn't be us without it.

For example, other states might think they have the best Italian Subs but they don't have Moe's Italian Subs so unfortunately they are wrong.

Other states wish they had the best water park with greatest jingle of all time. But alas, there is only one Water Country and it happens to be in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

If you hear someone say "More for your Dollar" (or more likely "More for your Dollah") and you don't know what they are referring to, your Granite Stater card might be in question.

"More for you Dollar" is of course the slogan for our beloved grocery store, Market Basket. Market Basket is a New England institution. The prices are absolutely unbeatable. Sometimes you might need to sit in the parking lot a say a little prayer before going in to do your Sunday (because you could get hip checked by Grandma in the produce section) but that's all part of the fun! Grocery shopping is a contact sport.

The Most Popular Grocery Store in Every State

The Market Basket love runs deep in New Hampshire, that much we know is true. The post received 477 upvotes on Reddit and over 300 people commented on it.

There were some other interesting takeaways from this chart:

• People from Massachusetts were OUTRAGED that Market Basket was not their #1 pick
• People have the best things to say about Wegmans. Apparently it is the Taj Mahal of grocery stores.
• Mainers are calling BS on Stop and Shop being their top pick because the closest one is in Western Massachusetts. Mainers claim the answer is Hannaford all the way!

If you live in New Hampshire, even if you don't do your everyday grocery shopping at Market Basket it holds a near and dear place in your heart.
