Four Massachusetts Cities Rated as the Best in the U.S.
Not only did the Commonwealth take four spots in the Top 10, but they also got the number one spot. Here they are, in order, from the top:
1. Newton, Massachusetts
2. Brookline, Massachusetts
5. Malden, Massachusetts
7. Cambridge, Massachusetts
Here's Why Massachusetts Ranked So High
It's easy to understand why there are four cities that made the cut with heavy value put on things like availability of healthy care, quality of education and household income, but that income is going to go right out the window with the cost of real estate.

Massachusetts Probably Scored Low
There are a few things about the cities in Massachusetts that probably didn't score very high like, 'affordability of housing,' 'cost of living,' and 'state infrastructure.' If you have even a small knowledge of housing costs in New England, you must be aware that the prices in Massachusetts are out of control.
The other factor that may not have been a high score for Massachusetts cities is the weather. Lord knows we sure do get some hot humid days in the Summer and about 10 months of cold out of the year. Good thing people value health care more.
