President Barack Obama is speaking out on racism in an appearance on a popular podcast out today. He says the country's long history of racism has not been overcome. Obama says it's not just a matter of "overt discrimination" or use of the N-word in public.

3 firefighters, woman hurt during fire rescue
Officials say a woman and three firefighters have been hurt while they were rescuing her from a burning home in Manchester. Fire crews were called to Walnut Street early this morning after a neighbor heard a woman screaming and called 911. Firefighters found the woman trapped on a second-floor porch that was burning.

Dartmouth awarded millions
Dartmouth College has been awarded $17.5 million over five years to build on its work evaluating the performance of health care systems, identifying waste and offering solutions. The funding is part of $52 million being awarded by the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, which named Dartmouth one of three National Centers of Excellence to study health care delivery and patient outcomes.
