Germanwings Flight-Investigative Finding
The French air accident investigation agency says the co-pilot of the doomed Germanwings flight repeatedly accelerated the plane as he used the automatic pilot to descend the A320 into the Alps. The agency says investigators have begun studying the black box data recorder from the plane, found at the crash site yesterday.
Keene Says NO to Pumpkin Festival
The City Council in Keene has overwhelmingly rejected a permit for the annual Pumpkin Festival after alcohol-fueled violence last year led to injuries, property damage and more than 100 arrests. The council voted 13-1 last night not to grant the license.
Dellinger Sentenced
A former Fortune 500 executive has been sentenced to nine to 20 years in prison for causing a highway crash that killed a Vermont couple and their unborn fetus. The Valley News of West Lebanon, New Hampshire, reports Sunapee resident Robert Dellinger was sentenced yesterday. Dellinger has been jailed without bail since the 2013 crash.
