The annual CMA Country Christmas Special will air on ABC December 3rd and many of today's country artists will take part in the extravaganza!

The special was taped at the Grand Ole Opry House earlier this month, but will air on ABC, December 3rd. Jennifer Nettles returns as the host for the sixth time. VA progress, but short of goal
The Department of Veterans Affairs appears to be about to miss its targets of eliminating veteran homelessness and ending a huge backlog of disability claims. But there has been progress. There were about 50,000 homeless veterans on a single night in January 2014, down 33 percent from January 2010. The number of disability claims pending for more than 125 days stands at about 76,000 after soaring to more than 611,000 in 2013.

Hillary files paperwork
Hillary Rodham Clinton has filed paperwork to be a candidate in New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation presidential primary. Clinton submitted paperwork and a $1,000 check to get on the ballot yesterday at the start of a two-day campaign trip to New Hampshire. Clinton was the last of the three main Democratic candidates to file.

Nashua takes up two resolutions 
Nashua is set to take up two resolutions that would allow the city to spend $4.2 million in bonds to purchase a second hydroelectric dam. The Board of Aldermen is expected to take up two resolutions today that would give the city ownership of the Mine Falls hydroelectric dam and use bonds to pay for it.
