Near Perfect Weather Draws Thousands To New Hampshire

(Concord, NH) - The Columbus Day weekend weather has been exactly what New Hampshire tourism officials have dreamed of.

Clear skies and mild temperatures greeted the out-of-state visitors to the north country and Lakes Region areas where foliage is at or near peak.

Officials had predicted 660-thousand weekend visitors to the Granite State.

Heavy traffic was reported inbound early in the day Saturday and Sunday, with heavier southbound traffic later in the day.

Southbound traffic is expected to be heavy again today as the leaf-peepers head home on this Columbus Day.
