3,000 UNITIL customers on the Seacoast lost their power for about an hour on Monday morning.

As of 8 a.m. the company's outage map showed just most of the outages are in Hampton Falls, Kensingston, Seabrook and South Hampton. UNITIL spokesman Alex O'Meara told Seacoast Current the outage began around 7:10 a.m. and appeared to be the result of an open breaker which remains under investigation.

By 8:20 a.m. the number of customers without power was down to around 1,000.

Exeter firefighters on their Twitter account reported wires down on Drinkwater Road in Exeter but O'Meara did not know it was related to the outage.
