Meet Katie, Your Newest Morning Show Host on 97.5 WOKQ in New Hampshire
Hi, everyone! My name is Katie Killourhy *hug,* and I am beaming with joy that I get to be one of your next morning show hosts on the legendary 97.5 WOKQ!
Getting to be a part of your morning commute alongside my “brother from another mother," Garret Doll, is something I will never take for granted.
So thank you (in advance) for choosing to wake up with us on our new show, Garret & Katie in the Morning.
A Little Bit About Me
I come from a large family that is deeply proud of our Irish roots. I was raised to work hard, lend a hand, lift as you climb, and leave people better than how you found them. And always, always respect your elders.
(Fun fact: I have kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland, and I swear it gave me the gift of gab.)
From the Stage to the Mic
As an actor for the last 20 years, my heart swells with passion for the art of storytelling. I have tried other ways to artistically express myself (directing, writing, hosting), but this is my first time behind the mic on the radio… EVER. I couldn’t be more giddy and ready to start.
I have been visiting the Lakes Region of New Hampshire since I was 4 years old, and it has always been my happy place. My childhood memories are filled with Frankensundae, Funspot, the Laconia Drive-In, and swinging on my Grampa’s spiral staircase.
And I’ll never forget the time my LG flip phone spent an entire night in four feet of Lake Winnipesaukee, proof that phones were just built differently back then, because after a long soak and some time in a bowl of rice, it somehow survived.
A New Chapter in New England
Yes, I recently moved to New Hampshire *happy dance,* but I grew up in Massachusetts. So I take my Dunkin' coffee large, iced caramel cream only.
My pride for New England shows up everywhere I go, in every handshake and every conversation. It fills my cup to be able to enjoy the special places this region of the country possesses, especially out in nature.
I'm Ready to Share Me With You
Things that are part of my DNA: my love for dogs, food, art, autumn, and sunsets by the water. I have three dogs of my own (a Saint Bernard, Husky/Collie mix and a pug) on top of being a mother to my 1½-year-old daughter.
I wouldn’t trade a single day of my beautifully chaotic life! My home is loud but full of love, and the door is always open.
On air, I hope to uplift, inspire, make you laugh and share my life and love of country music. My connection to our listeners will always be important to me, so don’t be shy about reaching out!
Off air, in the rare moments I have to myself, I love clearing my head on a jog, unwinding with a glass of Freakshow Cabernet, and escaping into Food Network or reality TV. Oh, and anyone who truly knows me knows I cannot start my mornings without a cup of coffee.
Excited to Join WOKQ
WOKQ has a lot of heart to share, and I feel honored I get to be a part of that. To now be stepping into your mornings, in a place that has meant so much to me for so long, talking about the music that has shaped so many chapters of my life… it truly feels like everything has come full circle.
So here’s to early alarms, honest conversations, a lot of laughs, and a little bit of magic along the way. I can’t wait to get to know you, to grow with you, and to be a small part of your everyday routine.

P.S. I am a HUGE foodie and will do my own food reviews from time to time. So let me ask you, where can I find the best mac n cheese in New Hampshire or Maine!? It is by far my favorite dish, and I’m always on the hunt for it.
Let me know. I can't wait to be with you all, so make sure to tune in for Garret and Katie in the Morning!
