New England has a bunch of great roller coasters to really get you pumped up, from Superman: The Ride at Six Flags New England in Massachusetts to Excalibur at Funtown in Maine to Untamed at Canobie Lake Park in New Hampshire.

Well, there's about to be a brand new one added to the mix, and it's coming in 2027.

Canobie Lake Park is adding a new family ride at its Salem location called Red Fox Run.

Red Fox Run Is Coming to Canobie Lake Park in 2027

Canobie Lake Park shared the exciting roller coaster news on its Facebook page on October 30, 2026.

The plan is to start construction soon on a new family spinning coaster called Red Fox Run and debut it sometime in 2027.

A spinning coaster means you won't just be facing forward as the car zips and turns on the track. Rather, you could be looking backward or even sideways at points. So yeah, it spins.

For a general idea of what one looks like, Seekonk Grand Prix has a spinning coaster called the Turbo Twister in Seekonk, Massachusetts.

More details and updates will hopefully be shared throughout the winter, but it's exciting to know there's something new coming to the place!

What Other Roller Coasters Are at Canobie Lake Park?

Canobie Lake Park currently has three roller coasters at the park.

That includes the legendary Yankee Cannonball, a classic wooden coaster, and, according to American Coaster Enthusiasts, New Hampshire's oldest operating roller coaster with a history that dates back to 1930.

Then there's Untamed, the bear-themed coaster, which Foster's Daily Democrat reported opened for the first time in 2011. The park's website highlights the thrill ride's vertical drop that takes you 72 feet into the air before going straight down at a 97-degree angle. (Don't have lunch before this one!)

Lastly, there's the Dragon Coaster that is more geared toward younger kids, offering twists and turns but without any terrifying gravity drops.
