This New England Fall Bucket List is Filled With Foliage, Festivities, and Fun
Anyone who knows this writer knows that fall is one of her favorite times of year.
Not only is the foliage beautiful, but one can enjoy seasonal activities like apple picking, corn mazes, and leaf peeping, while also savoring treats like pumpkin beverages, baked goods, and more. Then of course, there's Halloween and all the fun things that come with the holiday, like ghost stories, haunted houses, spooky movies, costumes, and trick-or-treating. We could go on and on. Fall is a special time of year, and there's nothing quite like it in New England.
Yours truly has started lots of autumn traditions over the years. As mentioned, a visit to an apple orchard, corn field, and some form of haunted attraction is a given. Finding an event or excuse to don a Halloween costume is also imperative. After all, when else can you dress up as the character of your choice and not get side-eyed? Then of course, there's the decorations, music, seasonal drinks... there really is something out there for everyone.
With that in mind, we thought it would be fun to create the ultimate New England fall bucket list. Many tourists consider our region to be the fall capital of the nation, so why not create a list of activities so that locals and vacationers can experience the perfect, quintessential New England fall?
