If you travel past the White Mountains of New Hampshire, about two and a half hours north of the Seacoast area, there are beautiful snow covered towns so picturesque you might think you are in a Hallmark movie.

Yes, it's farther than North Conway, and farther than Storyland in Glen, NH.  Keep going past Santa's Village in Jefferson and you will land in Lancaster, NH, abutting the border of Vermont.

You might not think a town this far north has Door Dash food delivery, but it does.

Lancaster is where a Door Dash driver experienced an extraordinary act of generosity when a customer left an unexpectedly large tip, according to a Facebook post on u local New Hampshire.

The driver, who had been navigating long hours and modest pay typical of gig work, was reportedly overwhelmed by the gesture, which highlighted the impact even small acts of kindness can have in service-based jobs.

Such tips are a lifeline for drivers, given the industry's reliance on customer gratuity to supplement earnings.

For this driver, the tip wasn’t just monetary—it served as a morale boost, affirming the value of their efforts in ensuring timely deliveries.

Here's how it went down.

The driver rings the doorbell at a house to make a delivery.  A woman opens the door, but a younger woman runs past her, takes the bag, then tells the driver she wants to add to the tip.

The woman runs to her car and comes back with a $50 bill, which the driver didn't realize until later.  Here's what the driver said:

I didn't look at the cash until I was down the road. I looked down and saw this. ($50 bill) That girl, a complete stranger, has no idea how much her kindness made my whole night.

Despite haters commenting on Facebook, the majority of the nearly 400 comments were positive.

Hey people, that's the whole idea.  The glass is half full, not half empty.
