New Hampshire is Not The Only Shopping Obsessed State in New England
If you are feeling a little guilty about whipping out that credit card at work to buy the perfect rug you just saw on Amazon, don't worry New Hampshire, we are not alone. There are 4 other New England states in the Top 10 most obsessed on this list:
Vermont came in at #2, Connecticut at #4, Rhode Island at number 6 and Massachusetts rounds out the Top 10. Maine is at #18 if you are wondering.
I have a theory why 5 out of the 6 New England states do more online shopping than the rest of the country. We are cold and it snows here. Better to have the Amazon driver come and bring it to us, thank you very much.
I don't know anyone who doesn't shop online anymore and I know a lot of people. The benefits are just too tempting not to take advantage of. The seller will usually ship to you door and most of the time, returns are easy. The only downside of returns is that you have to actually get in your car and drive to one of those places that are designated to take them. I usually go to Staples in Stratham and sometimes, heaven forbid, I have to wait in line.
Happy Shopping!
