New Hampshire Ranks At The Bottom Of This Holiday List
Black Friday and Cyber Monday...the two biggest shopping days of the holiday season. When you factor in stores that opened early on Thanksgiving night, and the holiday weekend, you get a five day shopping period.
The Datadipity data science team conducted an online and mobile survey that asked 4,000 Americans how much they spent on Black Friday weekend. And then they ranked each state in order from most spent to least spent.
Ohio takes the top spot this year. On average, residents spent $993 over the five day period. California and Illinois were close behind.
Here in New England, Massachusetts ranked 32nd. Our friends to the south spent $415 on holiday shopping. Vermont was #46. Maine was #47. And those of us in New Hampshire ranked #49...spending just $225.
