Bravo to New England, which has some of the safest cities and states in America.

We are fortunate enough to live in a region filled with opportunity and beauty, but also an area which is safer than most across the country.

Each year WalletHub does a survey on the safest cities, towns, and state to live and each year, New England scores pretty well, but New Hampshire does especially outstanding.

For 2024, New Hampshire has ranked the second safest state in the country, which is good news for every Granite Stater.

The statistics show New Hampshire as a state with very low assault rates, murder, and crime rates, safe roadways, and high community involvement.  According to WalletHub.com:

Over 78% of people in New Hampshire feel that they live in safe neighborhoods, the highest percentage in the country. More than 76% feel that their children go to safe schools, the seventh-highest percentage.

Why?  Because the overall crime rate is low, unemployment is low, and New Hampshire has the highest number of neighborhood crime watch groups in the country.

Honestly, all of the six New England states were in the top 10 safest states to live, with Vermont at #1, New Hampshire at #2, Maine at #3, Massachusetts at #4, Connecticut at #7, and Rhode Island at #9.

Did you know New Hampshire also has the second highest credit score per person on average, which is another reason to live here.  People pay their bills and take pride in their personal accounts, investments, and credit.

Live Free or Die is more than a slogan in New Hampshire.  It's a way of life.
