Walmart Closes 22 Stores This Year – Are NH Stores Closing?

In recent years, Walmart has become a huge part of my life. It's my one-stop shop for grocery shopping (yes, I'm blessed enough to live near a super center), I get my workout clothes there, my makeup, and now as I prepare to bring a baby in this world, I have bought so much stuff for the baby growing in my belly there! Baby's wardrobe will be made up entirely of clothes from Wally World. I've been really pleased with their gender neutral options. And GET THIS: I even get my nails done at Walmart . That's right, the one I go to on Lafayette Rd in Portsmouth has a nail salon inside!

I would be extremely disheartened to learn that my Walmart was closing. So you can imagine my dismay when Business Insider reported that 22 Walmart locations plan to close this year. Walmart has been closing stores over the last several years, stating that the locations were 'underperforming'. One would think I keep my local Walmart store in business with all the money I spend there, but I couldn't help but panic. I prayed out loud to the Lord we all share, "please don't be mine, please don't be mine!"

Not only are these Walmart closures devastating for the local shoppers; they put hundreds of people on unemployment. Not to mention five e-commerce distribution sites will also be shutting down, so that adds hundreds more.
